This project was a tough one, as I had trouble deciding on what sort of band to choose for this project. I fell ill and couldn't really progress on this project much until I got better and only had about less than two weeks to finish this album cover project. It was originally going to be a album cover for a video game soundtrack however I found myself having trouble choosing a video game to make a soundtrack cover. Then I recalled Monstercat, a record label I used to listen to a lot back then. They made a lot of albums for their collections of various tracks from several artists. So I figured why not design something for fun and something along their series of albums? I had the passion for it so it wasn't something I'd get bored of illustrating, and as I progressed I ended up with these two digital mockup illustrations for the Monstercat record label, two different albums, Legacy which features a faithful illustration to their mascot, and Wild which has a more anime-ish style at a side profile view of their mascot.
